The purpose is to view culture critically and with academic knowledge, thus unlocking their understanding and producing a great sense of self-worth. Without access to basic cultural knowledge on a regular basis, many students do not develop an appreciation for the work at school. The challenges then are threefold: installing ideas of equal opportunities, preparation for knowledge about society and rehabilitation of the people with this knowledge.
Artistic ways are the best ways of expression and here we need to express a lot! Documentaries, writing, painting, pictures are just some of the ways that we choose to do this at HSA, each in accordance to his or hers own ability and feelings. The Voice of Kids program is one of these psycho-artistic programs, which gathers all our work methods and beliefs together in one package. During the year, the project will create a group of kids who do not know each other at first and turn them into a united group of young, empowered and freethinking activists who find themselves at the end of the year, publishing a magazine.
Through tutoring and helping with homework, we provide support for children in their education. The association also provides an ideal environment for study with a quiet place and volunteers, which are present to listen and guide the children. Our aim is to provide them hope and chance for their future.
The idea is to start and develop the children's role in the society through sport, as well as giving children the opportunity to enjoy the same games that all the kids of this world have. We do not, however, wish to normalise the situation they live in, which is not normal in any case, but we do not deny them their rights to live in health and happiness as children.
